Disciplinary and grievance issues can be a major burden to employers. Putting in place and following the right procedures is essential.

 

Without them, you run the risk of ending up in front of an employment tribunal facing a claim of unfair or constructive dismissal.

 

These procedures will be tailored to clearly state what your company deems to be acceptable under the codes of practice for discipline and grievance. By communicating the policies to your staff, they will know what is accepted, tolerated and whether they ‘cross the line’.


Again, the policy is in place to protect both parties and will be issued in line with the ACAS government guidelines.
